Have you seen any improvements in money management or personal finances from the students that have an account at the Panther Credit Union? How would you describe the experience of the students in one word, and why?
“I would like to say, yes. Although I haven’t really heard students talk about it, I do know that students who have an account are glad they do and have access to lunch money. The experience in one word? Convenient. Their parents can give them money to put into their accounts or if they have their own job, I assume they are depositing money from their paychecks into their accounts. They have money for lunch, school savings for things they need to do such as band, and graduation.”-Julie White
Have you seen any improvements in money management or personal finances from the students that have an account at Tulare County Federal Credit Union (TCFCU)? How would you describe the experience of the students in one word and why?
“My daughter has always been one to spend more than she has. Having her own account at TCFCU has put her in charge of her finances. The word that best describes her experience with TCFCU is epiphany. My daughter now sees the value of every dollar. TCFCU has given her the opportunity to understand the importance of budgeting her money. TCFCU has additionally provided a real world learning experience for my daughter through her internship at the TCFCU branch located on the PHS campus. Not only has this experience transformed her outlook on life, but it has also given her new found self-confidence. She has experienced success as an intern and now knows that she can do whatever she sets her mind to do. The sky’s the limit!”-Liz Torres
